About

Mission

Enabling organizations and individuals to solve local water challenges with global water intelligence.

A GEO flagship since 2016, GEOGLOWS turns satellite and model data into decision-ready hydrologic information: open, free, and built with the people who use it. Its mission is to pioneer scientific and global collaboration that provides relevant, actionable water information and promotes the use of Earth observations in decision-making, while strengthening observational networks.

About GEOGLOWS

Who we are

GEOGLOWS promotes the GEO Data Sharing Principles and broad, open data policies, supporting the right to access information in the public domain and apply it to decisions. The initiative was established in 2017 by the GEO Water Community to provide greater coordination across the global water sector, and is a GEO flagship built on a decade of collaboration between space agencies, universities, and national services.
