Steve Kopp is a senior geospatial scientist and technology leader at Esri, where he has spent his career transforming Earth observation data into actionable, decision-ready tools for global environmental challenges. Since 2015 he has led Esri’s role in GEOGLOWS, collaborating with Brigham Young University and ECMWF to build the world’s first open, operational global streamflow forecasting service. He has also been active in GEO BON, the GEO Blue Planet initiative, and AmeriGEO. He holds a B.S. in Physical Geography from the University of Missouri and a master’s in Digital Image Processing from Indiana State University.
