Karina is a PhD student in Civil Engineering at Brigham Young University. She studied Environmental Engineering at the Escuela Politécnica Nacional and holds a master’s degree in Hydrology with a minor in Ecohydrology from the University of Cuenca in Ecuador. She has experience in ecohydrology, hydrometeorology, stable water isotopes, hydrological modeling, transit times, and geographic information systems, and currently works with flood inundation maps and social impact in hydrology using a global model.
