Daniel León is a civil engineer from Universidad Nacional de los Llanos Ezequiel Zamora, Venezuela, and is completing a master’s degree in environmental engineering with a focus on geosciences. He serves as the Hydrology Lead for GEOPathways Latin America with GEOGLOWS. As an Applied Sciences Research Assistant at AmeriGEO he has contributed to research and projects in risk and disaster management, particularly in Peru and Venezuela. His master’s research uses GIS and remote sensing to address the environmental impacts of human expansion on aquatic ecosystems in west-central Venezuela.
